ABOUT THE BAND

We’re Stay Out, a high-energy punk rock band from Oakland, California, known for our insanely good looks and charm, the music is cool too. We formed in late 2016 and played our first show at 924 Gilman early 2017, since then we’ve literally carved out our place in the Bay Area’s underground punk scene, and internationally by blending catchy melodies with raw, powerful punk energy, and not being afraid to sing and dance a little too.

Our names are Grant Pack, and Mason McGeorge, in 2016 we co-founded the band, and share vocal duties, delivering a 1-2 punch of creativity and charisma with blistering riffs and infectious hooks.
In 2018, we took an another step forward with the addition of our incredibly sexy drummer Nate Reynoso who has since become an irreplaceable member of the band, and crucial to the song writing process. We draw inspiration from our Bay Area punk roots, fusing high-octane punk songs with melodic sensibilities to create something uniquely our own.
We’ve been through a lot together but we’ve been able to stay friends and bandmates over a long period of time, even through times where it felt like it was over, we stuck around!

Our sound continues to evolve, delivering fresh, invigorating riffs while staying true to the raw power and energy at the core of what we do. With lyrics that tackle themes of defiance, loneliness, the struggle, social unrest, etc. our music remains as relevant and powerful as ever. We aim to bring the same intensity to every stage, and most of all, we just like to have a good time. PEACE AND LOVE, ya damn hippies.

Several long tours including most recently a 75 day run in the Summer of 2025.
Played the Pennywise Garage in the PUNK ROCK MUSEUM and toured So-Cal during the LA FIRES of January 2025
Released a single with The Queers called “Life’s so Lonely” in 2023 on our 3rd LP “Just Pretend”
Featured in a full-length indie movie called “PUNK KIDS” (released 2023). Screened in several indie movie festivals.
Made the “BAY AREA UNDERGROUND AGE 2026” multi-genre music compilation to help promote ourselves and other bay area musicians.
Played small clubs to big high profile gigs with bands like AGENT ORANGE, GUTTERMOUTH, PENELOPE HOUSTON (AVENGERS), PULLEY, THE DOLLYROTS, THE BRIEFS, SUZI MOON, AUTHORITY ZERO, DR. KNOW, RADKEY, DOG PARTY, GRUMPSTER, D.I., JFA, VERBAL ABUSE & more.
Collaborated with Original Pattern Brewing Co. (Oakland, CA) to release our own beer, “Banshee Maple Brown Ale.” Brewed and distributed in 2021 & 2022.
Radio & TV: 107.7 The Bone (San Francisco, Baby Huey), KALX FM 90.7 Berkeley, Bay Area station, KOFY TV 44, B-Sides OnAIR TV, Sirius XM, KDOG RADIO, & more.
Featured in 2020 & 2021 global live stream festivals Global Bandemic 2 & 3 (over 40 bands, 14 countries featured in each event) to keep punk music alive during the pandemic.
